Early Planning
Starts 8th Grade until the end of Senior Year
GCE is here to assist you at every stage of your child’s educational journey. Planning is best started in 8th grade, so that their High School experience is best tailored to acceptance at a UK university. Course choices and placement are important, but we have strategies for every grade. After all, we know that teenagers can change their minds and their plans!
The strategy adopted by most of our clients is the early planning route. However, we recognize that many families come to the decision of sending their child to college overseas whilst they are in High School. Again, the sooner we are able to start working with your family, the better. Even if your child is in their senior year, we can still help. Foundation Courses are very popular in the UK (lasting only one year) - and this may be a route you wish to consider.
Our top priority is ensuring the best fit of both college and course for your child. With UK degree courses lasting 3 years - rather than the typical 4 in the US - this course decision process can be more important than it is at home.
Accelerated Path
For Juniors and Seniors who have just decided a UK or European college is their preferred route
While most of our clients follow the Early Planning route, with the UK acceptance process running later than in the US, your child can still be accepted even if they are a High School senior.
